As we approach Safer Internet Day this week (Tues 10th Feb), we invite you to join our Cybercrime Unit for a free webinar that focuses on this year’s theme “Smart tech, safe choices – exploring the safe and responsible use of AI.” along with our key steps on how to keep yourselves, your children and your accounts protected online.

ℹ️ The Webinar will take place on Thursday 12th February from 6.30 pm  - An Overview of AI, using it safely and general online safety advice to protect your online life.

Key Aspects of AI:

• Learning: AI systems, particularly through machine learning and deep learning, analyze vast amounts of data to identify patterns and make predictions.

• Capabilities: AI can perform tasks such as understanding natural language, recognizing images, and autonomous decision-making.

• Types: AI ranges from narrow applications (specialized tasks like chatbot support) to Generative AI (creating new content like images or text).

• Purpose: The primary goal is to automate complex tasks, increase efficiency, and solve problems, often handling data at a scale and speed impossible for humans. 

Common applications include search engines, recommendation systems on streaming services, fraud detection in banking, and medical diagnostics.
